Darkness reveals more when you know where to look.
What?
During a nighttime photo tour at Zurich Airport, I experimented with lowkey photography – working with minimal lighting and strong contrasts to highlight form and structure. This approach created a moody and cinematic atmosphere, where silhouettes and reflections played a key role.
Learnings.
Working with limited light taught me to pay close attention to exposure settings and framing. I learned how powerful underexposed areas can be for guiding the viewer’s eye and creating atmosphere. Planning compositions ahead of time and adapting quickly to changing conditions in low light was key.
